Derek brings 14 years of consulting and construction experience with a focus on solar and battery energy storage projects, including utility scale, C&I, and residential comprising a diverse platform of standalone and portfolio-aggregated assets. He has managed and assisted with independent engineering reviews comprising multiple gigawatts of capacity for single projects, portfolio arrangements, early development feasibility, construction revolvers, and tax equity financing structures, among others. He has held positions throughout the EPC spectrum that include oversight of technical, managerial, and quality-related responsibilities with commercial project values of $100M in the construction sector. He brings a broad understanding of client relations, constructability reviews, contract compliance, risk identification and mitigation, negotiations, and key indicators of overall project status, client satisfaction, and stakeholder interest.
