Luminate is proud to have served as the Independent Engineer for Clēnera’s Roadrunner Solar and Storage facility in Cochise, Arizona, which has officially begun commercial operations in January.

The project combines a 235-MW photovoltaic solar facility with a 235-MW / 940-MWh energy storage system, creating a reliable and dispatchable source of renewable energy for Arizona Electric Power Cooperative (AEPCO) under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

As Independent Engineer, Luminate provided technical due diligence and independent engineering support throughout the project. Our work included review of the project’s technical, engineering, and environmental aspects in support of financing and development activities.

Congratulations to Clēnera, Arizona Electric Power Cooperative, and all project partners on this important milestone!
