We are proud to serve as the Independent Engineer for Convergent Energy’s portfolio in Puerto Rico. This portfolio includes the Coamo 100-MW solar PV project with a 55-MW BESS, the Peñuelas 100-MW BESS project, and the Caguas and Ponce 25-MW BESS projects, spanning four sites across southern and central Puerto Rico.
On December 18, 2024, Convergent announced it had received a conditional commitment from the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office (LPO) for a loan guarantee of up to $559.4 million to support the development of solar and energy storage systems throughout Puerto Rico.
