Seeking candidate for leadership role in the delivery of wind and solar consulting services (advisory and independent engineering) – managing client relations, projects, project teams, and business development, with an emphasis in utility-scale wind generation. The position involves a blend of technical and business skills centered on development advisory and financing due diligence of wind and solar energy projects, including resource consulting, project development and finance advisory, construction, commissioning and operations monitoring. You will help lead teams and clients in the analysis and plans related to project development and financing, M&A, design, contract development and negotiation, construction, performance testing, operations and maintenance, environmental permitting, and financial pro forma projections. You will bring related knowledge in aspects of project design, development, financing, construction, and/or operations and maintenance, and will work with developers, contractors, investors, lenders, governmental agencies and other stakeholders and advisors.
The work is office-based with periodic travel, and requires excellent communication, teamwork, and report writing skills, the ability to manage and flex with multiple projects and schedules simultaneously, and the drive to meet client and co-worker needs.
- Experience in wind farm design, development, operations, resource assessment
- BS or advanced degree in engineering and/or atmospheric sciences or equivalent
- Experience in engineering, consulting, development, operations, or related activities within the power and/or renewable energy sectors
- Strong technical, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well as a team, independently, and under deadline
- Strong computer skills
