We are pleased to announce that Dr. Gregory Plett, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, has joined Luminate as a Senior Advisor.
Dr. Plett is an expert in control systems for energy storage systems and electric vehicles, physics-based modeling of lithium-ion batteries, and runs UCCS’s control systems and high capacity battery research laboratories. Dr. Plett has taught courses at Stanford University, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and has been a member of the faculty at UCCS since 1998. He has published papers for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (“IEEE”), the Electrochemical Society (“ECS”), Elsevier, Wiley journals, and several conferences, and has also written two books on Battery Management Systems. Dr. Plett is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a lifetime member of the Electrochemical Society. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems-Engineering with high distinction from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, along with a Masters and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
