We cover energy-related infrastructure projects, including electric transmission, material handling, port facilities, pipelines and compressor stations.
ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION

As new transmission lines are increasingly developed and financed by independent developers, we provide independent engineering services in support of the investment and financing of transmission assets. There are numerous hurdles in developing these projects, including environmental, permitting and rights of way issues, smart grid, power storage, phasor and other advanced technologies, bringing power from remote renewable power project locations to load centers, and engineering and construction issues.

FEATURED PROJECT

Neptune

Independent engineering review and report in connection with the sale of Neptune, a 660-MW, 500kV, 65-mile high voltage, direct current (HVDC) submarine transmission cable connecting Sayreville, New Jersey to Nassau County, Long Island.

PORTS AND MATERIAL HANDLING

Bulk material handling facilities such as receiving and shipping terminals, rail and port, including various solid materials (coal, bauxite, alumina, wood pellets, etc.) and liquid fuels.

FEATURED PROJECT

Impala Burnside Terminal

Construction monitoring services in connection with the financing of Impala Warehousing LLC’s refurbishment of its Burnside terminal facility into a major bulk terminal for coal, bauxite and alumina with both rail-to-vessel and barge-to-vessel capabilities located on the Mississippi River in Ascension Parish, Louisiana

PIPELINES AND COMPRESSOR STATIONS

Crude oil, hydrocarbon products, natural gas liquids, natural gas, and landfill gas pipelines.

FEATURED PROJECT

Ormat Recovered Energy Generation

Independent engineering review on behalf of Ormat International related to the sale of a portfolio of 10 Recovered Energy Generation (“OREG”) plants located on gas pipeline compressor stations in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Colorado.
