Luminate is pleased to announce that power and renewable energy veteran Dallas Tharpe has joined the company as a Senior Director.
Mr. Tharpe brings over 30 years’ experience in the power industry, where he has been an organizational leader with extensive experience in due diligence, development, operations, and technical and commercial support roles. His experience ranges from initial development through operations implementation and restructuring to meet changing market conditions, with specific experience in: renewable technology evaluation, solar development engineering, contract negotiations, acquisition due diligence, engineering and construction management, commercial asset management, optimization of facility operations, and distributed solar operations management. Prior to joining Luminate, Mr. Tharpe was Vice President Operations for NRG Renew, following six years as Vice President Development Engineering for NRG Solar, and earlier as Regional Plant Manager – NRG South Central Region, where he was responsible for management of operations of 3,100 MW of coal and gas peaking facilities in Louisiana. In his various capacities at NRG, technical due diligence has been a mainstay and passion, where he led teams involved with the development, acquisition, financing and operations of dozens of thermal and renewable energy power plants, including managing independent engineer reviews to support non-recourse project financing for over $4.3 billion in solar PV and solar thermal projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
“We’ve been fortunate to work with Dallas as a client over the years and are thrilled to add him to our growing team, where he brings a developer client’s perspective and will make an immediate impact in our thermal and renewable services,” commented Michael Robinson, President and CEO.
Dallas has relocated to Luminate’s Denver office, where he can be reached at 303.928.7025 and firstname.lastname@example.org.
