Emission Inventories

On March 10, 2009, EPA proposed rules that would require annual inventories and reporting from the larger emitters of Greenhouse Gases, which will affect power and ethanol producers among others. This ruling is a precursor to Federal legislation on climate change and the cap-and-trade program favored by the current Administration, which is targeting development of legislation this year. A Greenhouse Gas inventory can be used as the first step in developing a comprehensive compliance plan for controlling Greenhouse Gases.
